Book Club: Month #4

We had our book club for the month of September today, and this month we read Divergent! If you haven't read it, it is really good! (And it's the first book in a series!)

We had it at Cassie's house today, and it was so good to get together with all of my friends- besides one who was out of town- and chat and let our kids play.

It's hard to explain this book because I don't want to give away any details, so below is a summary of the book:
"In a world divided by factions based on virtues, Tris learns she's Divergent and won't fit in. When she discovers a plot to destroy Divergents, Tris and the mysterious Four must find out what makes Divergents dangerous before it's too late."

Anyway, I actually watched the movie first, and am so glad that I read the book still! The book has a lot of details that the movie doesn't cover very well. I enjoyed the movie, but the book is a must read! :)

Busy, Busy, Busy

I haven't had a lot of time to post this last month! I have been so busy trying to keep up with Eli, my house, harvest time on the farm, canning, PLUS Nathan and I tried to play as much as we could before he went back to school on the 15th!

I love this time of year! I love seeing the harvest come out of the garden, and I love spending time with my mom, mother-in-law, and Grandmas canning. It's always so much more fun canning with someone else. I thought canning was hard before having a kid... well, it is 10x harder now! haha. Here are some pictures of our success this year! :-)

Eli is 10 months old now!!! I can't believe he will be a year old in just two months. This past year has flown by, and I know time will only keep speeding up.

Eli is such a joy in my life. He is such a fun little boy and is constantly teaching me new things every day. I cannot imagine my life without him, and am grateful every day to Heavenly Father for allowing me to be his mommy.

He learned a lot this past month! He learned how to drink out of his sippy cup, wave, stand up against things, scream, spit out food, and crawl on his hands and knees rather than army crawling.

Eli loves to:
*wave!
*Eat sweets! (already... uh-oh!)
*play with his daddy! Total daddy's boy
*Crawl all over mommy
*Stand up
*Explore the whole house
*Eat graham crackers
*Chase Charlie around Grandma & Grandpa Johnson's house
*Laugh
*Play with the TV remote
*Look at and play with himself in the mirror!

He fell asleep in the bath tub!
